The inorganic nutrients intake in plant such as minerals is parts of the plant nutrition. The nutritions are important for the plant growth. Plant nutrition can be divided into two types:

  1. Organic nutrition - Usually organic nutrition is closely related to the process of photosynthesis.
  2. Inorganic nutrition.

Organic nutrition and inorganic nutrition are highly dependent on each other.

For now, I will be focused only on the inorganic nutrition

Inorganic nutrition can be classified into two elements which is:

  1. Essential elements.
  2. Beneficial elements.

1. Essential elements.

There are 17 essential elements in plant. The absence any of these element could prevent the plants from completing its normal life circle. The plants only need an essential element in only small quantity. The essential elements also can be classified into two types which is macronutrients and micronutrients.

2. Beneficial Elements.

Beneficial elements are only required for some plants but not required for all plants.

Next part is about nutrient roles and deficiency symptoms.
